Teachers' day/Childrens' day

Dear Mrs Shanmugam , glad you like the present and I will work very hard in term 4 and meet my targets . Moving on ......

I thought the Teachers' day celebration was interesting. I kind of liked the Anderson best competition, especially Kendric . It was most impressing when he did a handstand on his skateboard. :) ( so cool) The part I did not like is when I did not get to see the video as I was giving small little cakes to the teachers, being a school prefect.( so sad)

At the same time I would like to have no homework and alot of games to celebrate Childrens' day which is just around the corner. Thank You!

I Am Proud To Be A Singaporean

Our 44th national day celebration is just aroung the corner!I feel very happy and excited about celebrating my country's birthday.I am 100% very proud to be a Singaporean because Singapore is a very peaceful and safe country to live and we are blessed by having a strong government to lead our country.I intend to go bowling with my family,relax,more relaxing and watch the ndp show on television.Lastly ,I like Singapore because I feel that singapore is my home and where I belong.Thank you!

Cyberwellness

I don't really use the computer often now because I have alot of homework to do at home.No, I have not come across any inappropriate content.I think the lessons on Cyberwellness are very helpful even though I don't really use the computer much.I have learnt that people may not look the way that you think they are and I also learnt that you should not tell other people about your personal life like where you live, what is your name etc etc etc because you might get into trouble(very big trouble).I like the lessons about Cyberwellness because I learn alot of things that I should and should not do.Thank You very very very very much!:)

Racial Harmony Day

Racial Harmony Day is here!The theme of Racial Harmony Day this year is"Who is your neighbour".I think the 4 ethnic wedding that my teacher showed was very interesting because the teachers who were acting were funny.I liked the eurasian wedding the most because it was the funnies wedding of all.Yes,I do know my neighbours very well.I interact with them by greeting them every day with a hello,good morning ,good afternoon or with a good day.Yes,I like my workshop very much because it was very fun, exciting and I learnt how to make rojak.During recess I tried the chicken satay and it was very delicious and filling too.I liked the 4 ethnic the most.Racial Harmony Day means almost everything to me.Thank You!:)

Back at school

I feel very sad and scared about the H1M1 flu situation as I do not know what is going to happen in future and in school.I feel happy and sad about coming back to school.I feel happy because I get to see my best friend and I feel sad because I have to stay back in school for "beat boxing''(which I hate ALOT).No, I do not wish for that to happen because even though we can stay at home to watch television,play computer and more , we will still have to do homework(ALOT of homework)at home and we will not be free as in we can not go out for fun and games.No,I do not know anyone who was affected by the flu.My family avoided going overseas and ate healthy to avoid getting the flu.Thank You!

SA1 Reflection

Finally,the SA1 exam is over! I have been looking forward to this day as I did not like the arrangement for recess because we did not have enough chairs and table to sit and we had to wait a very long time behind the line infront of the food stalls.I thought the SA1 papers was a little difficult and a little bit easy.I think the science paper was the easiest paper of all and the the maths paper was the most difficult.I don't think I have done well in this semester as I did not do anything close to what I thought I could do at all (so sad):(.I think the remedial and enrichment classes in school were very useful (although sometimes I do not really understand the teacher) because if I did not even attend the enrichment class, I would have gotten even lower results.From now onwards, I will do more assesment books and tell myself that I can do all things if I believe and put more effort in it.Thank You!

Swine Flu

Novel influenza A (H1N1) is a new flu virus of swine origin that was first detected in April, 2009.Swine Flu is a very dangerous virus.Alot of people die becuase of this serious case.The first case of Swine Flu was in Mexcico.This virus can be spread in the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread; mainly through the coughs and sneezes of people who are sick with the virus.To prevent this virus, you must take care of your personal hygiene.If suddenly Singapore is affected and school is closed,I will feel sad.Well, my work is finally done,Thank You!

Kindness

Kindness is about being nice and helping others.Yes, it is very important to be kind because one kind deed can lead to another and make our world a more peaceful and pleasant place.People can show their kindness by speaking kind and encouraging words,sharing things and helping one who's in need.Once I was at the NTUC,I saw a staff dropped boxes of goods from a trolley.I rushed forward to help her put them back on the trolley.After that act of kindness I felt very joyful and my mother praised me.At home when my mother and maid are too busy, I try to help out with lighter chores like cleaning and setting the dining table.I can promote the message of kindness to my friends by being kind myself to them and find opportunities to do kind deeds such as sharing my stationeries when they don't have theirs.Thank you!

Earth Day

Earth Day is on the 22nd of April and it is about saving our home, mother Earth.Earth Day is very important to me because it helps save the Earth And I love the Earth. I understand about the phrase"Save the Earth"it means that the Earth is seriously destroyed through mankind's inconsiderate actions and we must do something to restore it.I think it is very important to reuse,reduce and recycle because it helps the Earth and we should continue to do it.I can save the Earth by saving electricity like not watching too much television or not spending too much time on the computer.I can also not litter and tell others too.I sugest that we should not kill the Earth by littering or any other way instead we should save the Earth by reusing,reducing and recycling.Thank You!

International Friendship Day

The theme for International Friendship Day this year was Asean.Yes. I think it is very important to have friends from other countries so that when you go to other countries you might have a chance to see your friends there and they can show you around if you get lost in that country.I have a few classmates in school from another country.I do not really know much about them or their countries.When I get to know someone from another country I would usually ask them what are their names first then I would find out which part of the country live in and ask where they live.Thank You!

Learning Jouney To Farms

I felt very excited during my visit to each farm.I leart that baby goats are called "kids'',I leart that when the mother goat is pregnant, she has to givebirth to the kid first before she gets milked,I leart that the plants need alot of sunlight,and I also leart that being an owner of a fish takes alot of responcibility.I like the fishes the most because I found it very interesting.There was two thngs I did not like.1.The goats because it was very smelly.2.The vegetable farm because it was very hot and I felt like I was in a desert.I think the vegetable farm should have more shelter and fans around so that it will be much comfortable and the goat farms should give everyone a mask and have fans around to prevent the bad smell.I think the whole learning journey was very interestiing.Yes, I would recommend it to others because even though there was some things that I did not like, it was still kind of fun.Thank you!

Earth Hour

About 88 countries took part in this event.The event is to help safe the earth for everyone including our future generations. Yes,my family and I participated in this event because we care about the Earth.We turned off all our lights and watched a movie in my parents room. Many Singaporeans turned off their lights too. I think this is an event that is worth observing because everyone has a part to play as we need to protect our earth from facing global warming.

Holiday Is Over

On Monday I went to the school's leadership camp from 8:00am to 6:00pm. I was very tired.On Tuesday and Wednesday I stayed at home to do my homework. On Thursday I went bowling with my mother and brother And on Friday I stayed at home again to do my homework. The most interesting thing I did was going bowling with my mother and brother.Now that I am back in school, my goals that I intend to acheive are to get even higher marks than my friends and more. For that ,I will revise my work every day after I come back from school. Thank you!

Our Track And Field Day

Yes, I had alot of fun during our annual Track and Field Day at Yio Chu Kang Stadium on Friday. I was a spectator at the events, but my brother and a few of my classmates were participants.Yes, I had fun rolling the huge, giant ball. My house did very bad and I felt very unhappy. Thank you!

Class Test 1

I did a couple of assesment books and revised my old textbooks.I felt nervous but then the teacher gave out the test paper and I did not feel nervous anymore.I think I have done very well. Thank you.

Total Defence Day

On Feb 15 at 12:05 , I heard a super loud siren everywhere.At first I thought it was an abulance,but then my parents told me that it this was an alarm to warn people danger is coming during the olden days , especially during war times.So I leart that the siren is very important and when we hear this siren , we must remember what happen in the olden days and most importantly, we must be alert.

I think the activities organised for us are very helpful and important especially the mystery bag activity and the skit put up by our school friends on stage. Who know what could have happen if this incident was real.I like the skit the most because it was very meaningful.

I suggested that every class should make cards and put them in a box and the box should be place infront of the teacher's staff room so that Mr Tan can collect it and tell us who are the winners.And so the winners will get a prize.

what will you defend?

Total defence day is to commerate the day the British surrendered to the Japanese. Total defence involves five aspects including: Psychological Defence , Social Defence , Economic Defence , Civil Defence and Military Defence. As for me , I would like to defend the peace and harmony that we enjoy in Singapore today by respecting my friends and others from different religion , language and race. How? By showing politeness , care and concern especially to those who are less fortunate and underprivileged.Thank you!

I bought new cloths and new shoes before Chinese New Year.
I went to my grandparents house,ate lunch there and took some photos but I also went to many other places.
